| I am using OO on Ubuntu but all of the menus and any dialogues on all OO applications have only a series of small boxes instead of letters just as they are when viewing say Chinese without the language pack. I assume this must be a default language pack which is not installed or has a problem? Anyone help please? |

Doesn't anyone know an answer to this then?
Any help would be appreciated. |

What OS and version of OOo are you using?
There have been repeated reports of problems with the Ubuntu distro version of OOo. If you're using it, I'd suggest that you replace it with the official OOo version from the OOo website http://www.openoffice.org/ . _________________ jrkrideau

| Yes I'm using the distro version and all went wrong when it was updated recently by an auto-update in Ubuntu. I'll give that a try. Many thanks for your reply. Office opens as 2.3 but I can't read anything at all on what would be the "about" page as there's no text on anything at all. |
