I have a series of spreadsheeets that arte built on the priors days spreadsheets. Therefore, I save the prior days sheet, then SAVE AS todays sheet. When I go do emply the contents of the prior days numbers, the formating (background, borders, type of input) is also deleted.
So far, I've had to take a blank row with the correct formatting, and copy that over the existing numbers. Is there any better way of doing this?

- Select the cells you wish to empty.
- Hit the Del key. You should now see the Delete Contents dialog box.
- Check only the items you wish to delete (i.e. not Formats), and click OK.
Cheers,

simply press [<--Backspace] key instead of [Delete]
[<--Backspace] removes only contents
