I've opened a file that was created in Excel and I'm getting some strange behavior. It has colored lines over parts of the grid and when I mouse over them I get a pop up box that gives a history of the last modification. With the file is opened in Excel it doesn't show any of this..
The weird thing is that if I select a large group of these cells that are behaving this way and choose default formatting it then removes this from some of the cells seemingly at random. If say I've selected 10 cells, 2 of them will lose the colored lines and mouse over that the other ones still have.
I've also tried deleting the contents of the cells but it doesn't change anything.
Anyone else run into this or have any idea how to fix it?
Thanks. |

What OS and what version of OOo? We need the three digit version (look under Help)
Any idea of how that Exce file is behaving in Excel ? It may be a corrupt file. _________________ jrkrideau

Well what I ended up noticing is that it was displaying the history of all changes that had been made. I went to edit>changes>show.. and turned off the displaying of the recorded changes.
The file was created in Excel and I guess they had record changes enabled?
