Assumptions - your addresses are in a database and your database is registered as an OOo data source. Some addresses are 3 lines and some 4 lines.
File > New > Labels. On the Labels tab set the Brand to Avery Letter Size using the drop down menu and set Type to 8160. Use the Database drop down to select your DB, same with the Table drop down then use the Database Field drop down to select one field at a time and the arrow to move it into the Label Text window. You can do basic editing in this window.
Go to the Options tab, check Synchronize and click the New Document button.
Turn on View > Nonprinting Characters (Ctrl+F10 will toggle this). The last line of the address block will be followed by a paragraph break but the other lines will end with a line break. In the upper left label delete the line breaks and tap Enter to change to a paragraph break.
Now let's assume you have a field named Address2 which is only used in 4 line address blocks. Again In the upper left label click in the Address2 paragraph and do Crtl+F2 > Function tab, select Hidden Paragraph, set the Condition as Not Address2 and click insert. Click the Synchronize button to pass theses edits to all other labels.
To print your labels click the Print icon and answer 'yes' to the 'form letter' query. In dialog that follows All records is the default but you can select records with the gray boxes to their left.
If any of this doesn't work then please note your OOo version and your OS in any reply. |
