Is there any way to suppress the dialog box when deleting contents with the 'Del' key.
I have searched the 'tools/options' but can't find anything |

No,
we previously suggested that a
"delete" and a "delete special"
to correspond to
"paste and "paste special " would be nice. _________________ carl

Thanks James for pointing me to the other thread. At the end of the thread user MIFA had the solution. It was just a matter of configuring the keyboard. Should have thought of that.
Seems to work just fine.

As many others have noted elsewhere, another option is simply to use the Backspace key, which automatically clears only the contents of selected cells, with no pesky dialog.
Cheers,
