| Simply downloading should put a single file in a place you specify when downloading. Did you do anything else after downloading the file? Where are these folders and what are their names? |

| theres a single folder on my desktop when I open that theres many different things inside that. |

| Did you double-click the downloaded file to install OOo? That should unpack the installation files in a folder on the desktop. Is that what you see? If the installation completed, look on the Start menu to start running OOo. If you can start OOo, then the installation file folder can be deleted from the desktop. If you can't start OOo from the Start menu, then open the installation files folder and double-click the Setup.exe file to complete the installation. |
