Tools>Catalog choose "Special" under "Symbol set" and click "Edit". Find degree symbol in character map and type "degree" in "Symbol" box and then click "Add". Click "OK" and then close the Symbols dialog.
| Code: | | %varphi = 90%degree |

I use ooo 3.2.0. Using %degree does not seem to work (any more). How can I get a degree symbol in 3.2.0?
Rene
p.s. the formula I use is:
%sin(%alfa)=30 %degree |

- Tools - Symbols
, click the Edit... button.
- Locate and select the degree symbol in the grid (it's the small elevated circle, not the "middle circle")
- Type symbol name "degree" in the Symbol field below the grid
- Select an appropriate symbol set (or type a new set name to create a new set).
- Click the Add button.
Now you can use the %degree token. |

| Thank you, this worked. Is there reason why the much used degree symbol is no longer in the standard list? |
