Hello everyone,
I'm wondering if there is any way to see design view and slide view at the same time? I'm wanting to duplicate the way I used to work in PowerPoint where I had basically Impresses slide view (not sure what its called in PowerPoint) on the left hand side of the screen showing all slides in a single column. The remainder of the screen was design view.

If anyone knows how to get this same functionality in Impress I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
Jake

Jake,

I can't seem to get Impress to do what you want either.

Perhaps you could try filing a feature/enhancement request thingy or something at:

I couldn't see any requests for what you want but I haven't looked very carefully!

Cheers,

Grant.

Jake,

Do you have to see the slides? Or will the slide names suffice? If you go to the Edit drop down menu and choose Navigator, you can drag it to the side of the screen and dock it by doing this:

Quote:
Docking and Undocking Windows
To dock a window, do one of the following:
Hold down Ctrl and drag the window by its title bar to the side, or
Hold down Ctrl and double-click inside a vacant area of the window; in the Stylist, double-click a gray part of the window next to the icons.
These methods can also be used to undock a currently docked window.

I name my slides something that lets me know what each one is though. If you're just using the auto numbering, this probably won't help. Good luck!
