|
|
Sorry if I am beign ignorant here, but I searched the help docs and the forums.
I have a review sheet from a professor which is already numbered with questions on each line. I already have it set up to automatically change styles from black (prof's questions) to blue (my answers) when I hit enter and go to the next line. The problem is, when I do so, Writer autonumbers my blue answer to follow his question number. So, if I am on question 21., and I go to the end of line and press enter, I get my blue text, but with a preceding 22.
How can I disable this?
Thanks a lot! |

...
Also, if I go to my two styles (Question and Answer) I have already set the Numbering Style to be None in the drop box. It didn't seem to fix my problem. |

This sounds like a "bad" on the professors part, he should be using Tool > Outline Numbering in my opinion so each question is automatically followed by a different paragraph style but you can deal with what you have as follows.
When the new number appears immediately click the numbering icon which should delete the number, then change to your paragraph style for the answer.
If this does not work then you might try going to the end of the question and doing Shift+Enter to insert a line break but you won't be able to use a new paragraph style. You could highlight you answer or do Format > Character > Font Effect tab and apply a color. |
