|

Hello,
In a document with 2+ sheets, something keeps happening.
I add an automatic filter to one sheet; then I go to another sheet and, again, add an automatic filter. When I go to the first sheet, the filter is gone. I tried it on existing documents and on new documents, on excel documents and on ods files. I also tried to create a new document with excel, create filters on two sheets and then open it in Calc. When I opend it the two spreadsheets had filters. But as soon as I clicked on the menu option "Automatic filter", it happend again, the first filter disapering.
Can you help me with this?
It's very important, for me to keep using Calc, that I can have (fixed) filters on many spread sheets in the same document (I have documents with more than a dozen sheets, and they all use filters.
Thank you for your time,

Always give names to your lists. So you can even keep more than one list on the same sheet. Menu:Data>Define... _________________ XUbuntu 9.04, OOo 3.1.1(Sun), Sun Java 1.5.0_06 |

Villeroy, thank you so much for your reply.
I tried out your tip, and it worked. By giving names to lists in different sheets, I did manage to have fixed filters in more than on sheet.
I wish it was more simple, but it works the way you said..
Thank you for your time,

You can even get the rigid of this problem by Just defining the range of the sheet,
Let say there are Two Sheet Vikas And Sameer,
In First sheet for Vikas Say Ctrl + A, Then Go to Data - Define Range - Define the Name And Add
also repeat the following procedure for Sameer.
Then apply the filter to both the sheet.
And then the sheet will be available
