How to put a red underline without changing char settings

Hi everyone!

I need your help.....

I want to make a macro that will "Spell check" the typed words by putting a red underline just like the OO spellchecking capabilities. i.e. it won't change the character settings.

The one that I've tried was changing the settings of the character in the Writer wherein if I type a new word right after the underlined word, it will also have an underline.

Is there anyway that I can put an underline without changing the character settings??
