Trying to save documents with password

Hello,
I have quesions about version 3.0 OOo. I find that cannot save my document with a password like I could with the 2.4 version. The 'save as' box or the 'save' box does not have that option. How do I get that option back. I use Vista

It appears that once 3.0 is installed that 2.4 is deleted. How do I download 2.4 again, especially if I cannot get the save with password option back.

Please assist me with these issues, Thank you

Known bug: [Solved] Password Protection: no option in OS Save dialog. Fixed in 3.0.1.
