Insert a link to an image

Hi all,

I'm doing my first steps with SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) and was very pleased to see that OpenOffice.org supports SVG export.

What I'm trying to do is to insert an image from a file (Insert/Picture...) with the 'Link' check-box checked. The second thing I want to do is to export the whole drawing to a SVG file.
It seems not to work propperly since instead of inserting only a link reference to the image the image always gets integrated completely (as png) into the SVG file.

Has anybody an idea what I'm doing (or understanding) wrong regarding the 'Link'?
