Colors in various Open Office tools

Hi

There are a lot of color sub tools in open office - like highlight, background, font color etc etc

The problem is the colors are very limited,

i think its possible to add colors but thats a time consuming process and second if you upgrade then these colors are lost

so am wondering if there is a easier way to add colors to the various sub tools in openoffice

Okay did a search for extensions and other ways of adding colour to the existing templates, seems there is no easy way.

So am wondering if its something we can contribute - any way in which we can make a list of colours and add it to the openoffice development.

And f it does not make it to the development make it atleast an extension / add on.

So how does one go about contributing.
