How to do the V-Lookup from file to file in OpenOffice calc v 3.0.1

Sheet to Sheet means it is possible.

Have u woked wit vlook up in microsoft, Its just the same.

Press F1 u ill get a help window, there u search for vlookup u ill get entire details about vlookup.

Suppose when we are having the File naresh.xls and kumar.xls in Openoffice ,HOw we can able to do the V-Lookup.

When we are doing like this as similar to MS-Office it is not working properly.

Please kindly give the solution

You did not mention external links. You asked about VLOOKUP without providing a formula.
Nobody will ever be able to help you.
- Operating system? Which version? OOo runs on many platforms.
- Files on network? Which network?
- What do you do exactly? Simply paste a formula.
- What exactly do you get?
- What exactly do you expect to get?

I can assure you that it does work in at least 3 different ways.

Operating System : Windows
Version : XP Professional

Openoffice Version is 3.0.1

When we are working in Sheet1 to Sheet2 the V-Lookup is working fine.

But When we are doing from File to File it is not working

That too If When I am in Naresh.Xls in Openoffice and then if we go to next file "kumar.xls" ,when selecting the Data it doesnt allow for dragging

So please kindly provide the solution
