I have multiple user settiings on my computer (Win98) when I load OpenOffice.org in my profile it works fine! But when I go to the default profile (When you click cancel on the Network Neighborhood login) it gives an error message about application data from a previous installation (I had 1.0.1 before, now I have 1.0.2). The error message also comes up every time the quickstarter tries to load in default mode. I don't want to disable the quickstarter then it would take forever for OOo to load normally.
I know this probably isn't very clear but I'd just like to know how to get it to work in this mode. |

Did you have this problem before you upgraded to 1.0.2?
Win98's idea of users is very different from Win2k or XP. Did you do a multi-user install or a normal install? |

I never had any problem of this kind before.
I did a normal install to C:/Program files/ but I was logged in on my user profile at the time.
There was some application data left over from the previous installation in C:/WINDOWS/ that's causing the problem. |

Okay, here is exactly what the error message says:
"The application cannot be started.
The configuration file "C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\sversion.ini" does not support the current version.
Do you want to start the setup application to check your installation?"
I hope anyone who came across this same message knows the solution. |

| You might click 'okay' to start the setup program and choose to repair your installation. That might fix the non-user account setup of OOo. |

Okay, thanks a lot, everythings working fine now!
I had to download the install file because I deleted the original install folder after I installed the program, and I didn't have it saved on a CD-ROM. |
