Read Data from XML File

Hi all,
I am using OO.org as a way to output nice looking documents from our Intranet using some ugly hacks (search & replace on the odt files).

I was wondering is there is someway to either:
a) In a Writer documents; Load an XML file from the web and put it's values in Variables of the document.

b) Fill an XForm using data from an XML file got from the web. (I'd print the XForm later

Both options would be much much cleaner than what we are using now. If coding a Macro is required some sample code would be much appreciated!
