Export to pdf: problem with equations

Hello

,

when I export document in Writer to PDF in equations are weird characters instead of numbers.

Pleas anyone known how to fix the problem Question

Example (Bk=1, Akl+1=0):

I'm having exactly the same problem too! Driving me crazy, I only noticed after I printed out the pdf on another machine. This is on linux, OOo 3.0.1.
When I tried the same with the same document on windows, OOo 3.0.1 then it worked.
My only problems were with the numbers 2 and 3, which came out as funny characters I've never seen before. The other parts of the formulae came out correctly.

If it helps, I've found out that the characters which are displayed in the pdf are indeed numbers, but appear to be in the "Eastern Arabic numerals" - see eg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Arabic_numerals

There's a similar, but not quite the same, problem with 3.1 too.
Now I don't get those eastern arabic numerals but I get squares instead of certain characters instead.
I followed the advice written elsewhere of just repeating the export until it works, and it does, eventually. It's just a REAL pain if you don't spot it in time...
