The use of plain documents as templates is widespread, but I strongly encourage to distinguish between document files and template files. It takes little effort to develop that habit, and there are rewards in efficiency as well as safety (you don't want sensitive data entered into a template file that's shared by everybody). This is valid regardless of which office suite you're using. |
