image backround?

I downloaded OpenOffice a while back but have not installed it yet mainly cuz I have a few questions. 1 of which is, Can I use a photo/image as a backround in the word processor? I need to make a flyer that looks good to get a service going

Yep. Format page background and you can have a graphic, optionally tiled. Don't underestimate the OpenOffice.org suite: it's incredibly powerfull.

I tried this in Word but it only would show on the screen but not print, will OO print the backround on a page?

Lucky, I still have my tryout handy on the screen. Yes, it prints, be it in black and white coz' my printer's a HP Laserjet Wink
