I need to create some graphs charts of quadratic or cubic curves, given a formula , let's say y=ax^2+bx+c or that of a straight line , y=mx+c.
Can they be done with Calc?
Thank you _________________

No. If using Windows, get either Graphmatica or "Graph", the latter from www.padowan.dk . If using iMac, a good graphing program comes bundled with it.

In Calc, you could do this when you first calculate the data points. Use autofill to fill a series of data, then calculate the Y-value, then create the plot. _________________ --

Not easily. If you need publication quality graphics you may want to check out R http://www.r-project.org/ or gnuplot http://www.gnuplot.info/ . However for strictly graphing mathematics I think David's suggestions are much better. _________________ jrkrideau

I need to create quadratic curves and curves examples as teaching aids for A level Maths.
Graph from www.padowan.dk is what I was looking for.
Thank you all for your suggestions. That was great! _________________
