|

Hello,
I am running OpenOffice 3.1.0 on Ubuntu Hardy Linux. My problem is that hyperlinks are not working properly. That is, when I ctrl-click on hyperlinks in my OpenOffice Writer documents then Writer launches the links in a seperateOpenOffice Writer/Web application window instead of launching the links in my default browser which is Firefox. What is weird is that this only occurs when the link ends in .html. All other links are launched correctly in Firefox. For example, the link http://www.georgiajets.org/index.html is launched in the OpenOffice Writer/Web application while http://www.georgiajets.org is launched in Firefox.
I want all my hyperlinks to always launch Firefox especially since the OpenOffice Writer/Web application appears to be lanched as an html editor instead of a browser.
Firefox is set as my default browser in my Preferred Applications, however, it appears that the file association is somehow set differently somewhere for OpenOffice. I hope that someone here can let me know what I need to do to ensure that all hyperlinks are launched in my default browser, Firefox.
Thanks,
Gordon Dickens |

Gordon--
I can confirm same issue--was not aware it was just docs ending in html or htm.
Get any solution to this?

Gordon--
Thanks! Yes you did help.
That is probably my problem too--I am using launchpad as well.
This is a minor annoyance for me, so I will probably stay put--I don't like to have to keep manually installing each time there is an upgrade!
Thanks, Gordon! _________________ :-Doug. |
