When one solves definite integrals, e.g.

 Code: int from{a}to{b} {k dx}

one typically ends by evaluating some expression over the range of integration, e.g.
evaluating kx from a to b. The best syntax I can find for this so far is

 Code: {left none {kx} right lline}^b_a

I'm thinking there should be better--more meaningful, more readable--syntax for evaluating an expression over a range, since this is a pretty common usecase. If so, what's that better syntax?

That's more writable but even less readable (IMHO); I'd prefer something like

 Code: evaluate from {a} to {b} {kx}

(where function=kx), which would be congruent with the existing integration syntax. Am I missing something?

I'd prefer to be richer and 50 years younger. I'd prefer to just speak to the thing and it will type everything as it should be. Surely, we must work with the tools we are given, or get other tools or develop our own.

If you think you have viable alternative, then you might consider contacting the program developers. No-one here can do what you want, as we are users just like you.

David.
