Need help and puzzled...... I have made a defined word - 'New Hire' and assign it to cell A1, then put a value of $12.00 in Cell A1.

What I want is to type --->'New Hire' into any cell and have it automaticaly have the value defined of Cell A1. Is this possible? Thanx in advance

If you Ctrl+F3 and assign New_Hire to $A$1 then you can type =New_Hire into the formula box for any cell and it will enter the value of A1 into that cell.

Otherwise you will need to use AutoCorrect to replace "New Hire" with =A1.

You cannot, as far as I know, enter data into a cell containing a formula expecting that formula to act on that data entered.
