| hey could someone possibly help me. I have a laptop with windows XP and somehow I have managed to disable my copy and paste tool. I did check out my note pad and I am able to copy and past there as well as copy and paste to an e-mail or web doc, but from the writer I can not move it. I also checked my options and customize they are checked but my tool bar icons are not enabled. Any suggestions??? |

I'm not sure if I understood your problem correctly. you do want to copy text from a writer document and can't do that because the tool bar icons are not activated?
You have your writer text to copy from open? You select the part you want to copy? You right click with the pointer over the selected text and click copy? You move the cursor to the application you want to copy the text to (and that is an application which can handle text)? You right click again and have the paste command available?
Where in this sequence did I loose you? |

on my new MacBook Pro with Office 08. Keyboard options of Command C for copy and Command V for paste apparently didn't come over in Apple's copying my entire computer onto this new one...does that make sense? Do I have to assign the keys again? Thanks for any help out there! _________________ Babs Bell Hajdusiewicz |

First it doesn't make sense at all!
Second, you seem to be referring to MS-Office, this is a forum for Open Office, a office software package comparable to MS-Office and available for Mac. Go to www.openoffice.org to download it.
If your system is configured correctly the copy function should work just fine if not you can assign it the way you had it before. |
