In MS Word I could replace ^p^p^p with ^p^p to ensure maximum of two Enters between paragraphs.
I have found that one can cope with line returns using \n.
Can anyone tell me how to find and replace paragrapf marks oin OpenOffice. |

^$ will find empty paragraphs which you can replace with nothing to get rid of them. there should never be any need to put 2 carriage returns between paragraphs (i.e. separate each paragraph with an empty paragraph) You should be controlling the spacing between paragraphs using your paragraph styles _________________ Kubuntu 11.10 LibreOffice3.4.4 |

| Thank you - that's what I wanted. I do control spacing with styles - it's the others who don't and I often have to edit their text before use. |

Glad it worked.
Looks like you might have and educational role as well as and editing one!

You can replace \p\p with \p etc using AltSearch. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.6 on Fedora 18, LibreOffice 4.0.2 on Ubuntu 13.04 (Double Boot) |

I have to do that occasionally. Isn't it fun. I'm still amazed at some people's ability to mess up a simple document. _________________ jrkrideau

The worst thing I ever found in a doc or the dumbest thing someone did to there computer?
Maybe not though, it might backfire! None of us are perfect _________________ Kubuntu 11.10 LibreOffice3.4.4 |
