| When I try to save in a Microsoft Office document format, Open Office warns me that saving to an external format may result in lost data. I'm sure you're all familiar with this message. How can I disable it? It has become quite tedious. |

You can't - it's a standard feature. It's simply saying "hey, this ain't my format so I might not get it quite right"
Yes, it can be annoying, a bit like "Warning- This Gas fire is hot when lit" but believe me if it wasn't there there would probably be more complaints about less than perfect conversions.

Ian is right, but it should be possible to disable it. Oh well, it stopped me from overwriting perfect Word documents I opened iwth less than perfect conversions. (If I saved, I had to save to a new file).
The danger with all these custom settings we wish for is that they can and will clutter the interface. Too many options scares people away. |
