|
|
I have just had a powercut and apparently lost a document that was very difficult to write and I'm not sure I can reproduce it anywhere near as well as I had it.
I have checked my autosave options and it was set to every 15 minutes. I had obviously been working on it significantly longer than that, most of the day in fact but the document that open office has recovered is the one I'd saved yesterday which I had barely started.
Is it possible the autosave option has put it somewhere else? Is there ANY WAY I might be able to recover the document I had almost finished?
Any help or suggestions would be massively appreciated.

hi there,
I think the AutoSave works only if OpenOffice crashes. Unless you save it yourself, you lose all the changes made until the last manual save.......
Can someone confirm this?
Anyway, to locate the path to the autosave folder, go to: TOOLS > OPTIONS, Openoffice.org and check the PATH tab.
