|
|
Hi All,
I did a search and found this talked about in a post from 2005. Just in case things have changed since then:
Is there any way to move objects from one layer to another besides the cutting and pasting method (which I'm already using)?
Thanks,
F.O.R. |

| Click and hold for half a second or so. Your mouse pointer will show an attachment, indicating "alternate drag mode". In this mode you won't see the outline of the object, but you can drag it to a different layer (drop it on a layer tab), a different slide (in the slides pane at left), into a different document (in another open window) or the gallery. |

Keme,
If I'm not mistake it was you who answered the question in the 2005 post.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks

F.O.R. | I appreciate the kind words. Quite possible it was me back then.
I still prefer the cut/paste method over alternate drag when moving objects between layers (with the "target layer" active you can still select an object from any layer, and a quick ctrl+X/ctrl+V moves it to the active layer).
I find dragging useful for those other moves, though. |
