|
|
Hello,
currently working on a database to enable me to enter, order and display reports from classes I follow, I ran across an ability I know Access has, but cannot find in OO Base.
This is: when inserting text fields (memo) into my report using the Sun Report Builder, there is only fixed field height. I do not find the option to switch to variable height...?
Does anyone know of a method to solve this? E.g., placing fields in a table with one column, with cells that will become heigher the more text they contain?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks, Menno. |

| It is not supported by SRB now, it is on planned features list. |

| That's extremely annoying that such a basic feature is missing. I've just switched to the SRB and it solves a lot of the problems I was having with the built-in report writer, but even the built-in one could manage variable height fields (so Menno, you might want to try that, but prepare for a very buggy experience). Is there a voting system one can use to support the prioritisation of improvements by the SRB design team? Or is that all going to be pulled anyway now Sun are part of Oracle? |
