I have OpenOffice 1.1.1 and GNU/Linux operating system. I also have freetype 2 installed and my X Window system uses OpenType and TrueType fonts as well. But my installation of OpenOffice seems not to recognise OpenType fonts (these with *.otf extensions). With Type1/TrueType there is no problem. I tried to put OpenType fonts to my OpenOffice.org font path - /usr/share/fonts/openoffice but it didn't help. What can I do? Is there a document on the net describing how to use OpenType PS fonts with OOo?

Perhaps it is an OS thing; OpenType fonts are recognized by OOo on Windows 2000/XP, but not always used properly when exporting documents to PDF.
