how to export in pdf

I'm glad to see Writer can export in pdf, unfortunately I can find no mention of it in help or find it as a save option. Can someone say how it is done?

File\export as pdf. Give the file a name and click OK, then you will see the quality and print range options.

There's no export feature under file. The version is 1.0.1

I think the older versions (<1.1.0) didn't suport an pdf export. Try to get a new version of OOo or use PDFcreator

Another way to convert your OO doc to pdf is to print it into Acrobat PDFWrite of Acrobat PDF. Assuming you do have Acrobat PDFRiter installed . All need ed is
Print / select printer AcrobatPDF. and it should do.

OOo is open source software, so as an alternative to the proprietary Adobe Acrobat PDFWrite software, I may suggest an alternative Open Source solution that works equally well. It is, for Windows users, PDFCreator. http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

This involves an installer that automatically sets up a "PDFWrite"printer for you. It actually involves an automated installation of ghostscript, redmon (redirects your printer port) and the Adobe Distiller postscript driver.
