How to disable autocorrect sidewalk/pavement, UK settings

Hi

When I write the word 'sidewalk', OOWriter automatically replaces it with 'pavement'. Is there a way to adjust autocorrect function in individual instances?

What is the name of that method, how is information found in Help?

Tools>AutoCorrect. All the words to replace are listed on the "Replace" tab, and you can add or remove items from ths list using the "New" and "Delete" buttons.

That hadn't worked, the last time I tried it. I tried it again today, and again it didn't work. But the second time I tried deleting that sidewalk-to-pavement setting, it worked. Glad I kept trying.

Yes, and I just have to remember that. In terms of computer software, I think of 'fixed code', and therefore 'fixed behaviour'. But there's a little bit of chaos in everything. I need to think of "Try, try again" as a main method, not a last-resort.
