Use hyperlinks in your TOC. Try Insert - Indexes and tables, then go to the Entries tab, where you can configure your TOC. You can access the Help for information about the details, if that doesn't help you, come back for more.
If your problem has been solved, please edit the first post in this thread and add [Solved] to the title bar. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

Floris, can you be more specific? I'll give you more details as well.
I have a large doc, about 150 pages. I have it divided into about 15 chapters. Just to start, I created a custom heading for all those chapters, and made a table of contents. Having done that, how can I make the items in the TOC "jumpable" within the document?
thanks!

It's harder to explain than to do it. This is from the Help:
| Quote: | Hyperlink (LS and LE)
Creates a hyperlink for the part of the entry that you enclose by the opening (LS) and the closing (LE) hyperlink tags. On the Structure line, click in the empty box in front of the part that you want to create a hyperlink for, and then click this button. Click in the empty box after the part that you want to hyperlink, and then click this button again. All hyperlinks must be unique. Available only for a table of contents.
All
Applies the current settings without closing the dialog. |
Note that the white boxes between the "buttons" with the heading # and heading text codes are text boxes where you can enter text and additional codes. You will need to get something like
to have only heading number and heading text in the hyperlink _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista
