To take this discussion a little deeper., how would you rate OOo feature wise?
Office 97? 2000?
Wordperfect 8, 9, 10? |

Feature wise, everything i need - finding them - a pain in the butt - and it looks so ugly (kinda out of place when comapred with two of the three other apps i alway have open - Winamp and Pheonix , and Outlooks (the only bit of MS Office 2000 i have installed) icons just look more obvious as to what they will do (even Words and Excels do)....
Now if we could create Icon Packs which would be all the toolbar buttons, and export and share with others that would be so much better - as it is i can't even see how to improve the current ones.
Customizing toolbars is a pain in the butt (although i remember reading a doc on oo.org a while back which was improving this)
I dunno if it's just me but a side bar interfacting with Googles translation tool and http://dictionary.cambridge.org [EU Cutomisable of course!] would be a nice feature, although not essential (in fact right clicking on a misspelled work and "Cambridge Dictionary" opening up the relevent page would be nice! [it lists close proper spellings]) _________________ Using ooo versions 1.0.3.1 to 1.1.1 on Windows 98SE - Windows XP and 1.0.2 on Linux Mandrake 9.1 |
