|
|
Dear home networking Linux enthusiasts,
I have two networked home pcs (called Hare and Tortoise) both running Linux Suse 8.1
Hare has all the data and programs on its hard disk. Tortoise is an x-terminal.
Tortoise just logs via xdm onto Hare, using the same desktop userid as Hare, and can access the same programs and data.
Most of the programs can be run on both pcs at the same time, and appear on their own screen.
However if OO is run from both pcs at the same time, OO appears twice on the screen of the pc that asked for it first, but not at all on the screen of the other pc.
OO is run from /opt and I think I installed it as a single user system.
Many thanks,
Pete. |

I think, problem is that OO is installed in single user mode. I run 6 to 10 sessions of a single terminal server and never encountered this kind of problem. Try to reinstall OO system-wide on Hare.

Did network install of 1.1.2 followed by workstation install.
Didn't make any difference. |
