Hi,
I tried to open a visio file in Open office Draw and failed. Is that functionality available in OO?
Thanks for the help. |

| Unfortunately u cannot open visio file with open office. I was hoping some developer can create a open source office to integrate with MS visio and the shapes. |

In fact, you can export visio files as EMF (
then you have a block of elements.
Just choose right click + Break, and you'll have all single elements.
The bad point is that all shades of color, all little details from Visio will be a single element, making it difficult (not impossible though) to change the composition of your drawing.
You can group (but once again, takes time).
Anyone heard about better way for editing Visio EMF files in OODraw ? _________________ ALeX.T |

Has anyone looked at importing from a *.vxd Visio XML file? I understand that the default Visio *.vsd is a proprietary format, but it seems that reading the *.vxd XML format could be parsed out to enable basic diagram element reconstruction in OODraw. _________________ -- Paul M 2 -- |
