|
|
I have several text cells in a row. I have consolidated those cells in to one cell using concatenation and reference to each cell. I want to be able to erase the individual cells but when I do that the consolidated cell collapses. Is there a way to take the consolidated cell and convert it's content to just text without out reference to the original cells?

| Copy the cell with the formula result in it then go to Edit>Paste Special (or press Ctrl-Shift-V). In the dialog that appears unselect "Paste all", then make sure "Numbers" is selected (if applicable) and "Formulas" is not. Now press OK and accept the warning about pasting into a cell that already contains data. |

Thanks, that was quick.
Now my next question is...How do I do that over a range of cells (over one hundred). Will it require a macro or is there some other easier way to do a repetative action?
Where can I get "the book" on macroes, it seems that some of the URLs offering "the Book" are not working?

Hi,
Copy the range of cells and proceed as Ed answered. _________________ If your problem has been solved please add "[Solved]" to the beginning of your first post title (edit button). |
