Hello

I'm trying to insert a large image into openoffice writer but what happens is the writer resizes the image so that it fits on a single A4 page and it does not look nice.

How to insert a large image in its original size into open office ? or in other words how to insert an image spanning multiple pages in openoffice writer

The size of the image Im trying to insert is 1278 (W) X 5582 (H) pixels

Thanks

Shanthi

I take it that you are not referring to backgrounds.
Not knowing exactly what your desired end result is this may help
If you want one image to span more than one page a simple solution would be to use an image editing program and cut the image into sections (by the number of pages you wish to span). Create each section as a separate image and with 'save as' give it an unique name.
Back to your original document 'insert>picture' each section to its appropriate place.
Again not knowing exactly what your desired end result is you could create a custom page size

Thanks

I cannot cut up the images as this needs to be a ONE SINGLE big image.

So this can be solved by either making the

1) image as background
2) or by creating a custom document size ?

Solved it by creating a huge custom document size i.e 30 CM X 150 CM and then converted into pdf
