problems installing open office 1.1.2 français

i have download the 1.1.2 version in french for windows. I unzip the file and click on setup.exe, then the classic blue bar appears for a second but disappears a second after and then nothing happens. I am unable to install this software. I don't understand why because on my brother's computer there was no problem.
I have windows xp service pack 1, athlon 1800+ with a nforce motherboard based, i have unable my anti virus software (avast) but it changes nothing.

you're right i had disable my anti virus (sorry for my english, i'm french), just to test if it was this. i have unzip all the files in a dedicated folder, like i always did. Maybe it's a problem with the service pack 1 or the security patches from windows. I install a lot of thing on my computer, and i don't know why it doesn't work, because i did install it on another computer and it works perfectly...
Maybe it's a problem with my computer...
