I have a drawing consisting on an ellipse with some text in it. The style includes the font and the wrapping of text
I want to create a style and apply it. I thus go to the style editor (F11), clone Default -> Ellipse. I first change the font and then go to "Text". However, to my surprise, out of 6 boxes only 2 are active. Out of the two inactive one, the "Resize...." tick box is marked and I cannot uncheck it.
Consequence? When I apply the style to the ellipse, the ellipse shrinks to fit the text size, which is not what I wanted.
It seems like a bug, am I wrong?
This happens with Libreoffice 3.3.4 and with a similar version of Openoffice. |

hello,
In the text window, out of the 6checkboxes, only a few of them are active (not greyed out), depending on the nature of the object. for example, if the object is a shape (an ellipse for example) you should only have 2 checkboxes active (the 2 on the right column). The 4 textboxes on the left colum are greyed out, because they are not applicable to shapes.
So the 2 active checkboxes should be sufficient: the first resizes the text to fit in the shape's width, the seconds does the contrary, it resizes the shape to match with the text.
In your case, if you should tick onlu the first box, and the size of the ellipse should remain unchanged. _________________ Ubuntu / Vista - LO 3.4.3 |
