Setting a New Default Cell Format in Calc

I apologize in advance for what should be a simple task for me. But I cannot find a way, either in Help or in the forum, to change the default cell font size from the present default, 10, to my desired default size, 9.

Will you help? Thanks

You will need to create a new default template.

I have no idea how to do that but will leave it for another day. Perhaps you can tell me how to return the separator line between columns B and C to it's original size. It is bolder and slightly wider than the other column dividers. I have not set a print area.

Have you tried refreshing your screen or dragging OpenOffice off the screen and back again?
