I have created a form in calc that is protected except for the cells where I want to type. I want to use the tab key to navigate through the unprotected cells, and it works until it reaches the right edge of the form and then it tabs into the next cell outside the form. I tried to "select all" and protect all cells into infinity but that does not work.

Anyone know how to limit the tab function to only the document being used?

Try protecting the sheet...

Tools > Protect Document > Sheet...

I have the sheet protected already except for the cells that I want to type in.
The tab key moves from one cell to another until it reaches the right edge of the form and then it jumps into the next cell outside the form and continues to the right indefinitely.

Hi
First: enable the Protection for Cellstyle 'Default'
Second: mark all InputCells ( hold Ctrl-key and klick ) and disable the protection for this Cells.

Third: :Protect the sheet →Tools→Document Protect→Sheet

Fourth: Tab around your Input-Cells

Thank you for the response.

I am not clear on the first instruction: enable the protection for cellstyle "default"?

What does this mean and how do I do it?

The second instruction is to choose an input cell and hold control key and click, correct?

Do this to all the input cells, correct?

Protect the sheet - I know how to do this.

Please confirm first instruction and I will try this.

...and hold ctrl-key meanwhile you klick into the Input-cells.
