Hi y'all, complete n00b here.
I managed to create 2 tables: the first ("Client") contains Client names, addresses, Equipment and Distributor information. The second ("Service") is a customer service tracker and contains Event, date and Note information.
I created a drop-down list in the "Service" form where I can pick a Client name from the "Client" table. That in itself is an accomplishment for me ! I would like to have a text box (or other appropriate box) be populated with information from the "Client" table when I choose a client in the "Service" form, namely, the Equipment list.
My goal is to track repairs and customer service calls. I need to know who has what equipment, what broke down, when, how often, and what got done. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Database management is new territory for me; every little step needs a lot of effort.
I'm on OOo 3.3.0, 32-bit Windows7, 4 Gig ram, 3Ghz, 3D mouse, 2 speakers, 1 monitor, 1 large cup of black coffee. Thanx to all. _________________ On vient au monde froid, nu et affamé. Après, ça empire. |
