When ever I try to convert somethig to a pdf file I get a little box saying ASCII Filter Option and then when I hit okay I get a bunch of gobbily gook. I've done this before without issues but now I can't get it to work. Am I doing something wrong or do I have corrupted files.
Thanks _________________ Craig S. Moyer |

You normally get the ASCII options dialog box when you want to open a file with an unrecognized format. Not when you want to save/export an open file. So what file type do you have trouble with? _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

| The good thing about windows is that it has too much openness, you can install any sort of third party software to get your work done, same is the case with the conversion of PDF, you can use any of the third party software available for the windows including adobe, ClassicPDF, NitroPDF and so on. So you can try any of them, I hope you would be able to do your required conversion easily. |

There are many programs to convert to PDF, such as convert Word to PDF, convert DOC to PDF. Search in Google. All would be done. |

I was able to create the pdf filr from draw. I've installed the extension. The problem is when I then go to open the pdf file, I get the ASCII Filter box. When I get past that and the file opens its just gobbled gook, utter nonsense. What am I missing? thank you _________________ nancy weigandt |

| If you are trying to open the PDF file with OOo then it can't be done. Although you can create a PDF file with OOo you can't edit one with it. |

Thank you for replying. Okkkk.... so I can't open with OOo, can I open it at all anywhere? First of all I cant find it except in the opening OOo screen. I have Windows 7, I've looked.
I also thought maybe if I saved it to disc or flashdrive, but when I go to save again from the original Draw file and click on PDF all I get is the export box, but no options. _________________ nancy weigandt |

| PDF files can be opened with Adobe Reader. Double click the file and if you have (most people do) Adobe Reader it should open. |
