I'm writing an essay and have to change fonts very often. Is there a way to make some shortcuts that change the font?
E.g. Alt+1 changes font to Times New Roman and Alt+2 changes font to Monospace

Welcome to the forum.

Learn to use styles!

Then you can customize your keyboard to switch them (Tools menu)

Good luck.
