| I was wondering where I could find the word count option in writer? Also, is there a plug in or something that would allow it to check for proper grammar? I tried to search for these things first but wasn't able to find anything. I would appreciate any help, thanks. |

Actually, the word count feature is very limited (count words in the whole document)
File -> properties -> statistics.
Word count in selections is planned for OOo 2.0. In the meanwhile, you could use the search tool in the forum. This theme was discussed several times and there is some macros that count words in selections.
There is no grammar checker for OOo. |
