well thanks to the ones who replied. I found that for some reason when you send a regular attachment it will not open. If you go to the file menu and go down to send you can send as a PDF file which will open in yahoo mail.

not how to send it.

Regular attachments will open when the receiver has the appropriate software installed.
For example if the receiving party hasn't installed Acrobat Reader the PDF file will not open,
even so when the receiving party has installed OpenOffice the attachment will open.
