Thanks

This solution will work great for my pivot tables.

I'll try for a workaround with the AutoFilter.

The date format is mm/dd/yy and i would like to use AutoFilter to filter by month.

Extract the month-number: =MONTH( your_date )
or the month-name =TEXT( your_date ; "mmmm")
into a helper column , and 'Autofilter' by Helpercolumn.
