I want to have a voice describe each slide as they appear. I haven't figured a way to make this happen. When I use insert a movie/audio function a box appears over the slide's photograph and the photo is deleted.

I'm battling this one right now too. So far, I have figured out how to insert audio using the info at these links:

http://www.technicalcommunicationcenter.com/2010/07/24/how-to-add-sound-to-an-openoffice-3-0-impress-slide/

However, I need this to run in PowerPoint Viewer, and no matter what I do, it won't work. I saved it as a PPT, nothing. OOo won't let me save it as a PPS, so I tried just changing the file extension, no joy there either.

Hi,

The easiest way to do this is to open Slide Show --> Slide Transition from the menu and select Other Sound from the Sound field.
Keep in mind that this is a link to the audio file, so when you distribute the presentation you have to distribute also the audio file.
